Hello everyone! My name is Callum and I’ve just joined the fantastic team over at Leeds Community Healthcare as a Library Trainee.  I didn’t really know what to expect when starting in this role, as I am completely and utterly new to health libraries, the NHS, and the North of England in general.  I’ve migrated up here from Norwich where I spent 5 years at university, gaining vast experience of not getting on with what I was supposed to be doing in the library, so hopefully Helen and Ryan can coach that out of me. All of the Leeds libraries (and beyond!) have already been very supportive and welcoming since day one so I’m looking forward to meeting more of you face-to-face soon.  I’m hoping that this post will provide a strong foundation for me to continue on in the NHS – I’ve only been here for 3 weeks and I’m finding a lot of the work very rewarding. I can already see that the support here at LCH for staff to really develop and progress towards their personal goals is amazing - so I’m sure I’m in the right place to do just that.
