In this workshop, participants will review the content from the 1-hour accredited health literacy awareness training and prepare to deliver this training to others.

In this training session, participants will:

  • Refresh their knowledge of population health literacy levels and the impact of low health literacy.
  • Review tools and techniques to help and consider how they might be used by NHS staff in their organisations as well as other partners.
  • Learn some practical tips on delivering health literacy training to NHS staff and others.
  • Have an opportunity to practice delivery of health literacy training and gain valuable feedback from peers.
  • Find out about existing Communities of Practice in health literacy to share tools techniques and experiences.

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for staff who have completed health literacy awareness training.

Duration

A 3-hour virtual training using Webex Training software. Each participant will need their own computer (not iPad or smart phone) and audio facility (phone or VOIP), a camera is useful but not essential.
