Staff Library

The staff library is a collection of books, reports and journals that are of interest or relevance to LKS staff. These resources are available to all members of the Northern networks. The collection covers a range of subjects including:

  • Librarianship and library science
  • Teaching and training
  • Management
  • Professional development
  • Personnel
  • Library services
  • Knowledge management
  • Copyright
  • Electronic information services

 

Books: The book collection is held at two sites:

  • Barrow Site of the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay. You can search the collection at http://www.library.uhmb.nhs.uk If you want to arrange for a book to be sent to you or to make a suggestion for an addition to stock then please contact library@mbht.nhs.uk.
  • Rotherham NHS FT LKS. The collection can be searched via the catalogue. All the books in the collection are indexed with the location ‘Librarianship collection’. If you would like to borrow a book, please contact us on rgh-tr.libraryhealthcare@nhs.net and we will post the book out to you. The collection also includes a number of e-books. Please contact us to register for an account to access the e-book collection.

Journals: The journal collection is held at Salford Royal. To view the list of journals available in the staff library please use the Union List of Journals. If you would like to borrow a journal or want an article copied please e-mail Karen Sutcliffe providing as many details as possible.
