I started my new role with Elsevier as Commercial Product Manager for Clinical Solutions in April 2019 and I’ve been trying to visit as many customers as possible as part of my induction and to learn more about our products and the people who use them.

I am based in London, and the primary aim of my role is to ensure our products and services meet the needs of our users across the UK and Northern Europe region. When Marenne (your Elsevier Account Development Manager) suggested I attend this event I remembered what a great place Harrogate was and jumped at the chance to head out of London for a few days.

This was a very different conference than I am used to. There was a tangible atmosphere of collaboration and learning which was a refreshing change from manning large corporate trade stands at busy events where you don’t get the chance to properly talk to people. Exhibitors and attendees mixed well, chatting about the various challenges facing their services and possible solutions. The schedule of seminars and sessions provided an interesting mix of knowledge sharing and animated discussion.

My current focus for ClinicalKey and ClinicalKey Nursing is “What problems do we need to solve?” and I’d be very happy to receive feedback from you at any time. Information I received at “Its Great Up North” and the NHS Wales event the following week is already being worked on in terms of identifying new content to enhance the provision of information for Allied Health Professions working along side Nurses in interdisciplinary teams.

Thank you for welcoming me to your conference and evening dinner which was most enjoyable. I look forward to the next one.
